The Sump Adaptor is the correct way to connect a smaller flue pipe to concrete, pumice or clay flues. Therefore avoiding the problem of creosote running down the outside of flue pipes. It is installed by the screwing of the bowl beneath the flue, the smaller bottom end can then be sealed inside the flue pipe with fire cement and rope or other heat proof material.
